Calvin Frye, cannabis pioneer, activist, entrepreneur. He is one of the first cannabis business owners in the country. Through trials and tribulations, he helped lay the foundation for the cannabis industry as we know it today. He worked alongside pioneers like Dennis Peron, the author of California’s Compassionate Use Act of 1996, to lay the legal foundation for other states to follow.

Calvin was the founder and owner of Compassionate Caregivers of Studio City, one of the nations oldest single owner cannabis businesses in the country. Mr. Frye has the distinction of having the first legally recognized black owned cannabis business in the country (Circa 2005) before states started to issue licenses.
